Baseball, breaks and beach

Last weekend, Ian went to his first baseball game! Mamaw and Papaw took him to see the Tampa Yankees and the Clearwater Threshers. He had such a fantastic time, got a cool balloon dinosaur, met the lighting bug and ate LOTS of ballpark food! I heard he was such a great boy and enjoyed every minute. Thank you guys for creating such a great memory with him!

Ian had his 4 year check-up. Minus the vaccinations, it was a great visit. He weighs 39 lbs and is 41.5 inches tall. He is a bit above the 75th percentile for both categories. Vision and hearing were all perfect, and he got all of the answers to the "quiz" right. He had to draw shapes and then answer reasoning-type questions, like...if an elephant is big, a mouse is_____? or if ice is cold, then fire is_____? He was so precious and for some reason, it brought a tear to my eye. What a good boy!

This past weekend, Michael and I went to Clearwater Beach sans kids! Wow, was that a much needed break! Papaw took Ian to MOSI to view sea life and butterflies and tornado's and all sorts of science-like stuff. Mamaw hung with sweet little Emery and "got lots of sugar"! It was a beautiful day and we spent it with a big group of friends and then ate at Frenchy's...a perfect day, in my eyes!
